On the afternoon of February 28, Xuan Loc District People's Committee held a conference to deploy the Poverty Reduction Project for the period 2023-2025, to evaluate the implementation results in 2023 and set out goals, directions, and tasks for implementation in the district in 2024. Comrade Huynh Thi Lanh - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee chaired the conference.
In 2023, the district implemented 13 poverty reduction model projects to support community development in 12 communes with 125 participating households. The capital for implementing the projects from the state budget is 2 billion 220 million VND and the counterpart capital of participating households is 2 billion 354 million VND. In general, up to now, the communes have performed well, regularly inspected and guided livestock households on techniques for caring for cows and goats, cleaning barns and food sources to ensure good growth and reproduction. As planned, the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs will provide 630 million VND for the Community Production Development Project in the district in 2024. Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairwoman of the District People's Committee Huynh Thi Lanh highly appreciated the results of the implementation of 13 poverty reduction model projects to support community development in 2023. Besides, she emphasized that the communes need to continue to maintain and care for the 13 projects and propose new projects. At the same time, she requested the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to closely coordinate with the Department of Finance and Planning to review capital sources and disbursements when implementing the projects.
